Abstract
Intrahepatic lithiasis is an uncommon clinical funding. The problem appears to be more common in oriental population. The intrahepatic calculi are mainly composed of calcium bilirubinate produced in an infected biliary system. Some stones may originate around foreign bodies. The disease is usually silent unless the stones have migrated into the common bile duct. Intrahepatic calculi are difficult to treat and recurrence is frequent. We report a case of intrahepatic stones that was detected ultrasonically.
