Sonographic Diagnosis of Gastrointestinal Diseases in the Adult.

Abstract
Until recently sonographic of the bowel was considered as "˜Tiger Territory' because for years the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) had created problems due to scattering effect of gas. Similarly fluid filled bowel had mimicked cyst faeces as pseudo tumours. The advent and widespread use of real-time sonographic has greatly improved diagnosis of bowel pathology. Today sonography of the bowel is the last frontier for the sinologist who enjoys a challenge.
