Childhood Ocular Trauma

Abstract
It is a retrospective study covering a period of one year from January 2000 - December 2000. Objectives of the study were: (1) to find out prevalence of childhood ocular trauma in North West Frontier Province. (2) to identify the possible etiological risk factors. (3) To analyze sex distribution of ocular trauma. (4) to recommend measures to reduce the incidence and prevalnce of ocular trauma. Teh files of all children admitted with serious eye injuries to HMC Peshawar during a period between January 2000 and Decmber 2000 were obtained and studied.
