The iIncidence of underlying Pathology in Pancytopenia - An experience of 89 cases

Abstract
The aim of the study is to compare retrospectively, the incidence of underlying pathology and the salient clinical features of pancytopenia in northern region of pakistan. 89 cases of pancytopenia were included in the study over a period of one year at the department of pathology LRH Peshawar. Aplastic anemia, megaloblastic anemia, Hypertension and Acute Leukemia are the most common cause of pancytopenia in Northern region of Pakistan.
