Study of Efficacy and Tolerance of Spiramycine in Acute Bronchitis

Abstract
The objective of the study was to assess the efficacy and tolerance of spiramycine in cases of acute bronchitis. It is a prospective, non-comparative, open ended, clinical trail, in 40 patients at theout patient department of LRH, Peshawar. The results showed overall efficacy of the drug to be 82%, and excellent to good tolerance as 92%. Spiramycine is an effective macrolide, to be recommended in common cases of acute bronchitis.
