Acute Coronary Syndrome New insights in pathophysiology and treatment

Abstract
Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) denoting unstable angina and non Q wave mycardial infarction forms the main bulk of admissions to coronary care unit. Last decade witnessed strides of advances in our understanding of the pathyphysiology of ACS. ACS develops due to plaque fissuring or rupture which leads to activation and aggregation of platelets producing intra coronary thrombus[2].
