Abstract

this case report describes a 19 years old boy presenting with bilateral lumbar pain, abdominal cramps and generalized body yaches. Systemic examination was unremarkable. Patient was diagnosed as Type I Renal tubular Acidosis on the basis of alkaline urine, nephrocalcinosis, hypokalemic hyperchloremic metabolicacidosis with normal serum anion gap and positive ammonium chloride challenge test.
