Blood Transfusion Reactions in Children

Abstract
Experience with blood transfusion in the Pediatrics Department, Postgraduate Medical Institute has been analyzed. Untoward reactions in 350 blood transfusions have been given in detail. Comparison of these reactions with literature has been done. It is concluded that serious reactions are not that high in our country and that minor reactions can be further avoided if modern blood banking techniques are provided to all the hospitals.
