Albendazole in the Treatment of Hepatic Hydatidosis

Abstract
to evaluate the efficacy of albendazole, in the non surgical treatment of hepatic hydatidosis. This study was conducted on patients with hepatic hydatidosis and meeting. The criteria over a period of 4 years. In the surgical department of KTH, Peshaar. all these patients were treated with albendazole for an uniinterrupted period of 6 months and then evaluated up to 12 months with ultrasonography. Albenadazole has signficantly changed the management of heaptic hydatidosis, and under certain circumstances can be emplyed as the sole treatent modality with satisfactory clinical outcomes.
