Abstract
PSC is one of the cholestatic liver disease which is often overlooked. The other cholestatic liver disease which needs to be identified is Primary Biliary cirrhosis (PBC). The need for earlier identification is important because treatment options especially for the complications of the disease are available. we also feel that these disease may have varying presentations and should be cnsidered in the evaluation of abnormal liver enzymes. In our experience in the department of Gastroenterology at HMC, peshawar in the last one year or so we have diagnosed a few cases who presented with varying complaints.
